It’s 2025, and after more than a decade, I’ve decided to bring back a series that was close to my heart: “Tickers, Tweets, and Texts.” Back in 2011, it was a space to reflect on the week that was—to sift through the noise and find meaning in the moments that mattered–well that mattered to me anyway. Now, I’m excited to relaunch the series with a fresh name and an updated focus: “Posts, Pings, and Perspectives.”

The world has changed since I first started this series, and so have I–I’ve gotten older and wiser. But one thing remains true: the need to pause, reflect, and connect with the stories shaping our lives. This reboot will carry forward the same spirit of curiosity and connection, with a sharper focus on the topics that inspire, challenge, and drive me:

  • LGBTQ+/Queer Life: Exploring the stories, challenges, and victories of our community, and how we continue to shape culture and society.
  • Tech Innovation: Unpacking the latest in technology and its intersection with our lives, identities, and industries.
  • Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital: Highlighting diverse founders, game-changing ideas, and the pathways to equitable opportunity in the startup world.
  • Organization & Community Leadership: Sharing lessons learned from leading with purpose and building stronger, more inclusive communities.
  • Cultural Movements: Reflecting on the shifts in art, media, and society that define and reshape who we are.

Each week, I’ll dive into the posts, pings, and moments that caught my attention—offering context, commentary, and often, a little humor. Whether it’s a groundbreaking queer tech founder, a cultural movement sparking change, or a moment of leadership insight, I hope to bring you something worth pondering.

So here we are, 14 years later, reimagining the series for today’s world. I’m thrilled to take this journey with you, and I’d love to hear what you’re excited to explore together in 2025.
