america’s gay bachelor update for friday…
ok so in my facebook group i decided to create a platform for my agb race… well i mean not everyone has facebook and not everyone is my friend on facebook…so i am sharing it here with you
As the Gay Bachelor representing the state of Ohio my platform will be human motivation: self-actualization–using Maslow’s theory on self-actualization.
Maslow explicitly defined self-actualization as “the desire for self-fulfillment, namely the tendency for [one] to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is [or one believes he can be], to become everything that one is capable of becoming.” Maslow used the term self-actualization to describe a desire, not a driving force, that could lead to realizing one’s capabilities. Maslow did not feel that self-actualization determined one’s life; rather, he felt that it gave the individual a desire, or motivation to achieve budding ambitions.
People that have reached self-actualization are characterized by certain behaviors/traits:
* They embrace reality and facts rather than denying truth.
* They are spontaneous.
* They are interested in solving problems which may include personal problems or the emotional conflicts of others.
* They are accepting of themselves and others and lack prejudice.
Additionally after my realization yesterday that I had a week left to prepare myself for the big day I have gotten into the routine of 3 workouts a day… Its odd, but I am finding all these new muscles of which I was not aware. I have to say that one should not wait for such an opportunity to arise to become physically fit and/or healthy. So, if you are considering getting into the gym or staying at home and doing a small routine…I would encourage such actions. Oh, but as they say: “you shouldn’t start any exercise routine without consulting your physician”. Does any one? Really?
